Production and Edition Work
For five days, this celebration emerges as a vibrant portrait of cultural syncretism, where intense devotion transcends the religious to become a performative act. Through an oral narrative whispered among the dancers, collective memory is woven.
The festival fuses the Andean and Christian worldview in a chaotic game, where faith becomes a bridge of syncretism – in contrast to the conservative vision with which the celebration is usually associated. Paucartambo portrays a timeless celebration and a transcendence that is transmitted through songs, dances and celebrations.

In the documentary Paucartambo, delving into Andean syncretism, folklore, and religion, I oversaw the comprehensive editing and visual storytelling of the 75-minute feature film. This involved crafting a framework that intertwined two narrative threads, capturing an authentic depiction of the cultural syncretism in the area.

In addition to editing, I managed colorization to ensure visual coherence and the appropriate tone for the narrative. I supervised the final post-production, which involved exporting the DCP (Digital Cinema Package) and other file formats to prepare the project for distribution.
